There’s something so timeless about a cake smash session with a soft and simple setup. This sweet baby girl’s milestone session took place in my Shreveport studio, surrounded by delicate pink ribbons, warm natural light, and the sweetest vintage high chair.
We started the session with a few mother-daughter portraits, both dressed in coordinating pink. Her bright smile and oversized bow stole the show right away.
Then came the cake. I styled the high chair with soft textured blankets, white balloons at the base, and a minimalist cake topped with a satin bow. She was curious, expressive, and gave us the full range of emotions that make first birthday sessions so unforgettable.
I love including a mix of close-up details, wide shots that show the set, and candid in-between moments. These images tell the story of who they are at this age, which is exactly why milestone sessions are so special.

A Sweet Newborn Session with Baby Girl in Studio
Welcoming a newborn into the world is one of life’s greatest blessings, and this sweet baby girl’s session was full of tender details and quiet beauty. Styled in soft sage, blush, and creamy neutrals, her portraits showcase the timeless beauty of newborn photography.
From those delicate, sleepy poses with tiny hands resting under her cheeks, to the peaceful swaddled moments where she looked like a perfect little bundle, every image captured her early days with such sweetness. One of my favorite touches from this session was her tiny, knitted teddy, which she cuddled close during her portraits, such a precious keepsake moment.
We also included heartfelt family portraits, featuring her proud mom and grandmother. The love between them was so genuine and moving to witness. Watching the way her mom gazed at her and the soft smile of her grandmother holding her reminded me how important these images will be, not just now, but for generations to come.
Sessions like this are why newborn photography is so meaningful. These days are fleeting, and having portraits that preserve your baby’s tiny features and your family’s first days together is priceless.

There is nothing sweeter than welcoming a new baby into the studio for their very first portraits. This little guy was pure perfection, curled up and cozy in soft greens, blues, and neutral tones. His session included everything from simple wrapped poses to snuggly fabric drapes and tiny props that kept the focus on his precious features.
The beauty of newborn sessions is that they freeze the details parents never want to forget—the pouty lips, the curled fingers, and the squishy cheeks that change so quickly in those first weeks. My goal is always to create timeless images that not only look beautiful today but will also bring back all the emotions of these early days when looked at years from now.

Every cake smash session has its own charm, but this tropical-themed celebration was absolutely bursting with personality! With a palm leaf skirt wrapped around her vintage high chair, oversized pink flowers, and even a special visit from Stitch, this session was packed with adorable island vibes.
Our birthday girl wore the cutest red halter top and gingham bottoms, channeling island style in the most delightful way. She was a little hesitant at first, carefully inspecting her pretty pink cake with a golden “one” topper. But once she dug in, oh, the joy! Frosting-covered fingers, messy cheeks, and the biggest grins made every shot a keepsake.
I love how cake smash sessions capture a baby’s emerging personality. From curious looks to silly expressions, every moment tells the story of how fast this year has flown. The tiniest details—the way she held her toes, the proud smirk after her first bite, those are the memories worth preserving forever.
