Soft Neutrals & Sweet Expressions: Newborn Session in Studio

Welcoming this precious baby girl into the studio was such a joy. While I do happen to be her aunt, I kept things simple and timeless so her parents could focus on the sweet details that made this session uniquely hers.

We used a blend of creamy whites, soft greens, and blush tones to create a warm, soothing palette that let her little features shine. From her tiny fingers wrapped around her chest to the peaceful pout on her lips, every pose was meant to highlight just how fleeting this season of life really is.

One of my favorite parts of this session was how expressive she was, even at just a few days old. We even caught a wide-eyed look that felt like she was already curious about the world around her.

Whether she was posed in a classic side sleep or tucked gently into a woven basket, she was a little dream to photograph. And yes her lashes really are that long!

Soft Tones and Sweet Smiles – Studio Newborn Session in Shreveport

Some babies just seem to melt right into their little setups, and this sweetheart made it look effortless. From the moment she arrived at the studio, I knew we were in for a beautiful session. Her full head of dark hair, gentle smile, and content spirit created an absolutely dreamy collection.

We began with soft blues for a classic newborn look. I love how peaceful she looked wrapped in a ribbed knit with a floral headband, so simple, yet so striking. One of my favorite parts of every newborn session is capturing a macro close-up. Those little lips, tiny pores, and delicate peach fuzz never stay this small for long.

Next, we added a tiny knit bear for a little extra sweetness. It’s amazing how these tiny touches can give such personality to the final gallery. After a quick swaddle change, she snuggled right back in and let us change setups without even a stir.

Her pink-toned set felt soft and feminine with a hint of vintage charm. The lace romper and floral headband paired perfectly against the warm blush backdrop. She even gave us a smile mid-session, and I couldn’t have asked for better timing.

To wrap things up, we swaddled her in white and let her settle into a relaxed, seated pose, finished with a dreamy green basket look surrounded by houseplants. I love incorporating texture and natural elements when we can. This gallery is full of variety while still feeling soft and cohesive throughout.

Every newborn session is different, but when a baby settles like this one did, I feel so honored to do what I do. These are the little moments families will remember forever.

aby Emersyn’s Newborn Session | Sweet Pastels & Timeless Neutrals

Say hello to baby Emersyn, the star of this dreamy newborn session! With her soft features, chubby cheeks, and the kind of expressions that make your heart skip a beat, this little beauty gave us so much sweetness to capture.

We began her session with cozy neutrals—creams, taupes, and a hand-knit bonnet that made her look like she belonged in a vintage storybook. Tucked into a soft basket with layers of texture and warmth, Emersyn gave us a good stretch and a perfectly pouty little brow.

Next, we leaned into softness and subtle detail. From her dainty lace headband to the scrabble tiles spelling her name, every element was chosen to keep the focus on her. There’s something so timeless about the way neutral setups allow her features to shine—her little hands, her rosy skin, and those tiny baby rolls that are just everything.

We wrapped her in dusty rose for a classic pose that felt sweetly feminine, and finished with a soft lilac setup that gave the perfect pop of pastel. Her sleepy expressions—and that one cheeky pout—were truly the icing on the cake.
