Welcoming Baby Girl | Fresh 48 Hospital Session in Shreveport
There’s nothing quite like the sacred stillness of the first 48 hours. That hazy in-between where time stands still, and everything changes all at once. I had the honor of capturing this beautiful Fresh 48 session just hours after baby girl made her debut into the world on May 25, 2025.

Born at 9:29 p.m., weighing 6 lbs 13 oz and measuring 19.34 inches long, this tiny bundle already radiates so much sweetness. Her dark hair, soft pink bow, and that perfect wrinkly newborn skin made her absolutely irresistible.

Fresh 48 sessions are all about the real and raw baby in her hospital bassinet, mom and dad still glowing (and maybe a little sleep-deprived), tiny feet wrapped in hospital bands, and first-time cuddles that make your heart ache in the best way.

I loved how her parents looked at her like they’d been waiting their whole lives to meet her. Her mama gently cradled her while dad leaned in close, soaking in every detail. Those tender touches, the shared smiles, the quiet joy, these are the moments you’ll want to remember forever.

Baby girl was so calm and content as we documented her first morning light. And yes, her nursery blanket full of tigers, temples, and giraffes added a perfect touch of whimsy to the setting.
This is the kind of session that reminds me why I do what I do, because time is fleeting, but photographs let us hold on just a little longer.

Studio Newborn Session | Classic Neutrals + Cozy Family Moments
A quiet portrait of mama embracing her newborn with both love and peace
There’s something about neutrals and simplicity that lets the beauty of a newborn shine through. This studio newborn session was calm, timeless, and filled with the kind of love that quietly takes your breath away.
From the first frame, this baby boy melted into each pose like he had been practicing for weeks. We began with warm, creamy tones on a soft-textured backdrop, and I couldn’t get enough of how perfectly his red-blonde hair and peaceful expressions paired with the earthy palette.

We moved through a handful of classic looks, baby wrapped snugly in white, curled up in cozy knits, and lying naturally in soft beige tones. Each setup allowed his features to take center stage: those fluttery lashes, perfect pout, and delicate fingers wrapped around a tiny bear.

But as always, some of the most meaningful moments came when I brought Mom and Dad into the frame. Their quiet awe, the way dad gently supported the baby’s head while mom looked on with pride, those are the frames that will mean even more 5, 10, 20 years from now.
This session is proof that simplicity never goes out of style. With gentle light, a neutral palette, and love you can feel, we created images that will forever tell the story of his earliest days.

When you welcome a new baby into the world, every moment feels sacred. We believe your story deserves to be celebrated—but only in the ways that feel right for you.

In our studio, client trust is everything. That’s why we honor your choice when it comes to how, or even if, your images are shared. Some families choose to sign a model release and allow us to showcase their full session. Others, like the family featured in this post, prefer to keep things more private—and we completely respect that.
The images you see here are from a session where no model release was signed. Yet these moments still speak volumes. They show tenderness, connection, and the overwhelming love between parent and child—all without revealing faces. It’s proof that storytelling doesn't require full visibility to be powerful.

There’s something sacred about being welcomed into a family’s home just days after they’ve welcomed a new baby. It’s an honor I’ll never take lightly — and this session reminded me why I love in-home newborn photography so much.
This beautiful family of four invited me into their warm and peaceful space to document their newest little one. The soft beige tones, natural light filtering through the windows, and quiet joy of early parenthood made the perfect backdrop.
