Hi, I’m Leslie Whitaker; mama of five, photographer of mamas, and your biggest cheerleader when it comes to preserving the beauty of motherhood.
I’m based in Shreveport, Louisiana, and specialize in luxury maternity, newborn, and baby photography. My goal? To create an experience that’s as meaningful as the images themselves. From bump to baby, I’m here to help you feel seen, celebrated, and supported.
A Little About Me
Before I picked up a camera, I studied fine art and trained in culinary school. I’ve always been drawn to creative work, whether it’s plating food or styling a maternity session. My photography journey began after my first child was born. Like so many new moms, I was desperate to hold onto every detail, and photography became my way of freezing time.
Since then, I’ve turned this passion into a full-time business, photographing hundreds of families. I’m proud to say I’ve been voted Best Photographer in Shreveport for three years in a row—and even prouder that so many of my clients come back again and again as their families grow.

After photographing this mama’s maternity session just weeks ago, I was thrilled to welcome her back to the studio — this time with her baby boy in her arms. Born at 34 weeks, he spent a week in the NICU before coming home, strong and healthy. What a little fighter.
There’s something powerful about watching a family cradle such a tiny miracle. You can see it in the way his mother smiled down at him, wrapped gently in cream. You can feel it in the quiet pride in his father’s hands. Big siblings stood nearby, already full of love and awe.

We began with soft blues for a classic newborn look. I love how peaceful she looked wrapped in a ribbed knit with a floral headband, so simple, yet so striking. One of my favorite parts of every newborn session is capturing a macro close-up. Those little lips, tiny pores, and delicate peach fuzz never stay this small for long.
Next, we added a tiny knit bear for a little extra sweetness. It’s amazing how these tiny touches can give such personality to the final gallery. After a quick swaddle change, she snuggled right back in and let us change setups without even a stir.
